Cara Kilbey has revealed that she has been hospitalised just weeks after requiring emergency surgery after suffering a ruptured ectopic pregnancy last month.

The 33-year-old The Only Way Is Essex star shared the heartbreaking news with her followers on Sunday after posting a pic from her her hospital bed.

The reality star detailed her recent medical emergencies on her Instagram Story, which included her emergency operation. Cara wrote on the social media site: "I've been quiet on Instagram recently. "Last month I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured and caused an internal bleed, so was rushed into theatre for an emergency op."
