Balloons soared far and wide across the night sky to remember a much-loved eight-year-old boy who tragically died after a collision with a car.Safiullah Asif passed away in hospital last Friday.A BMW collided with him as he crossed a road close to the family home in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, the day before.Two men have been arrested.Safiullah was remembered at a mass balloon release held on Wednesday night.Dozens of people - including classmates of his - attended the moving tribute, which was held at 7pm in West End Park, Ashton.Personal messages were written onto balloons, or attached to notes tied to them, then released.The tribute was organised by Rachael Finnigan, whose son Riley was best friends with Safiullah, and a group of other.
