Toronto Wolfpack have withdrawn from the remainder of the 2020 Super League season, throwing their long-term future into doubt.
The Wolfpack have confirmed they will not fulfil their remaining fixtures in either the Super League or the Challenge Cup due to the 'unexpected and overwhelming financial challenges' presented by the coronavirus pandemic.
Toronto insist their payroll issues to players and staff has been 'guaranteed' by owner David Argyle and fans will be reimbursed for single game tickets and memberships.
As revealed by Mirror Sport, several Toronto players - including dual-code superstar Sonny Bill Williams - had visa issues which threatened their participation in the remainder of the season.
