Fans should be ready for a super-charged version of Betfred Super League when it restarts again on Sunday. The game will be speeded up through the new ‘six again’ rule brought in from the NRL, as well as the lack of scrums, and I’m sure we’re going to see plenty of points.
Supporters will have to accept some rustiness among the players - they had to down tools for four months and their timing might be a bit off.
But there will be plenty of attacking opportunities, and I think the key to dealing with the new rule - where the tackle count restarts instead of a penalty being awarded - will be handling the opposition’s momentum at key moments.
