Tiger terrorising towns after escaping Ukraine zoo as locals warned 'stay inside'

Ukraine.The predator has breached the nation's border with Slovakia sparking warnings for residents of three towns to remain vigilant with the beast on the prowl.Any sightings of the tiger must be immediately reported to the police who have joined the big cat hunt to prevent a bloody attack on humans that could result in tragedy.Authorities for the Slovakian town of Ulic told its citizens on Sunday to hold back as much as possible from roaming freely outdoors.It was emergency service personnel across the border in Ukraine who alerted Slovak police to the danger of an escaped tiger which is owned by a private zoo.

Slovakia Police posted a photo of the tiger to Facebook on Sunday with the caption: "Yesterday, shortly after 5:30 p.m., the RHCP operations center in Sobrancy received information from its Ukrainian colleagues that a tiger had escaped from the zoo and should be found near the eastern border. "The police have notified all border control departments at the eastern border, police patrols performing duty in the border area, mayors of bordering villages and representatives of hunting associations about this fact. "Residents are urged to exercise caution and for your own safety do not take any risky steps." This is a breaking news story and is being constantly updated.
