Three-day cyclone batters a cold UK with heavy rain and freezing gales

Met Office spokesperson Oli Claydon told The Sun: "This is not going to be an Atlantic hurricane, just a low pressure system in charge of the UK's weather this week.

It comes after a high pressure system was in charge across the UK."For much of this week, we'll see a low pressure system front of rain and showers at times moving from west to east.
