This Morning's Dermot O'Leary has apologised for a comment made on Tuesday's show that left viewers upset. Before kicking off Wednesday's (27 May) This Morning's View feature, he issued an apology. "Quickly before we start, yesterday there was a reference on the show to nut allergies in The Morning View.

Apologies from us," he said. "We just want to reiterate that we take those very seriously, especially dangerous ones on the show.

So following on from stories this week about a family not being able to fly because of an allergy issue we are going to be doing a special segment on it next week as well." The apology came after viewers expressed their outrage on social media over media commentator Nick Ferrari's attitude while discussing the story of BBC weather presenter Georgie Palmer and her family being ordered off a plane after she revealed her daughter's peanut allergy. The vegan, gluten, dairy, wheat, nut, soya and egg free brand @creativenature shared a clip to their 48.1k followers on Instagram of the LBC Radio presenter saying: "If you don't like peanuts then don't get on the plane because I do and I can't eat them because someone at the back of the plane is going to drop dead or something." Host Josie Gibson, who recently shared a health update after an ongoing medical issue, laughed at his remarks while Dermot held a sheet of paper over his face to hide his giggles. "THIS MORNING, THIS IS SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

We are absolutely appalled by this recent segment on @thismorning today. "Don't get on the plane either, If you don't like peanuts, because I do and I can't eat them because someone at the back of the plane is going to drop dead if I have a peanut, I don't know why." Instead of the presenters standing up.
