Thibaut Courtois has admitted that he spoke to Eden Hazard at Chelsea about making the move to Real Madrid. Both players are now plying their trade at the Bernabeu but once upon a time they strutted their stuff at Stamford Bridge.
Courtois played for Chelsea for seven years, though three of them were at Atletico Madrid on loan. Hazard also managed seven years in west London, joining Real this summer the year after his Belgian buddy did the same.
The goalkeeper moved to Los Blancos in 2018 in acrimonious circumstances. After lodging a transfer request, Courtois then went on strike to force a move through.
