Along with Olivier Giroud, the Belgian has been forced to play second fiddle to Tammy Abraham at Stamford Bridge this season, with the Blues academy graduate emerging as Lampard’s first-choice striker.Batshuayi has only started five games in the 2019/20 campaign, while making another 19 off the bench.
He is highly expected to leave Chelsea this summer, especially after reports emerged of the club’s £53million move for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
And according to The Athletic , Lampard all but confirmed Batshuayi’s fate by snubbing the 26-year-old in two recently friendly matches.
