THE Great British Bake Off's Maggie has revealed a heart-wrenching family tragedy in an emotional tribute post. The baker became a firm favourite among Bake Off viewers thanks to her traditional approach in the tent.
However, the 70-year-old was voted off after forgetting to put flour in her sticky toffee puddings. Since leaving the show, Maggie has regularly posted her bakes on social media, and to mark Remembrance Sunday, she shared a snap of some cupcakes decorated with red poppies and the GB flag.
She wrote alongside it on Instagram: "Today we remember those lost in conflict. "I am remembering my grandfather who died in France on the 1st July 1916.
