Supermarket giant Tesco has issued an apology to shoppers following a cock-up at the weekend. The retailer took to its social media accounts to say sorry, after its groceries website and app went down, leaving people unable to order their groceries.

Posting on Facebook, Tesco wrote: "Our groceries website and app are back up and running, so you can now use them again as usual. "We’re really sorry for any inconvenience while we were trying to restore service."
