The Queen has been advised by her doctors to continue to rest for at least the next two weeks, Buckingham Palace has said. The 95-year-old monarch was forced to spend a night in hospital last week due to her ill health, which also saw her cancel a scheduled trip to Northern Ireland and a trip to the Cop26 summit in Glasgow.
Her rest meaning she will not undertake any official visits during this time, the Palace has said. But the head of state has the “firm intention” of leading the nation in honouring the country’s war dead on Remembrance Sunday on November 14.
