A frantic pet owner took to social media to appeal for help to find her missing ferret - before discovering he'd gate-crashed her next door neighbour's birthday party.
Megan Beesley, 29, of Langsep Avenue in Hindley, said she had been out pumpkin picking with her little boy Calvin, 2, and partner Jordan Swain, 29, on Sunday, when they returned to find her five month old ferret Bernard's cage was empty.
Eventually she had a knock on the door from a neighbour to say he was having a kip in her garden.
