'Terrible time' as coronavirus claims mum's life just days after killing her dad

A woman who had just lost her dad to coronavirus fell ill and died within days of the virus claiming her father's life. Jocelyn Pettit, from Birmingham, was heartbroken after her dad Vincent Pettit, who lived in a local care home, died aged 86.

He had been diagnosed with Covid-19. Just five days later Jocelyn, was 54, collapsed at her home. An ambulance was called and she was rushed to hospital Just one day later Jocelyn died from coronavirus, with her partner John by her side, reports Birmingham Live.

Jocelyn, who was a lively contributor to Castle Vale’s punk rock scene, leaves behind her two children Sam and Katie, grandchildren Mia, Vinnie, sister Jane and partner John.
