pupil after the school prom.Giving evidence at a general teaching council for Scotland, Heather Prentice reported her concerns over the behaviour of Melissa Tweedie at the Glasgow event in June 2017.Claims that the former PE teacher from Gleniffer High in Paisley had danced with an 18-year old at the nightclub inappropriately were sounded at the meeting, with the 23-year-old teacher spending the night at a Premier Hotel with the student.Deputy head of school Ms Prentice, 60, told a hearing: "I had concerns about Melissa from the start of the dance regarding her outfit."She added: "Later in the evening I saw her up dancing with a glass of wine.
She was up with a group of sixth year pupils."The deputy claims she saw Tweedie "taking shots at the bar" with a pupil, and was reluctant to leave in the school-provided transport at the end of the prom.
Prentice said: "I told Melissa that there was a lift organised (another teacher agreed to take her home)."I caught up to her on Kelvinhaugh Street.
She was very reluctant to take advice and come with us. We couldn't make her come with us, so we had to let her go."Colleagues staying at a hotel across the river from SWG3, the club Tweedie had been spotted at, called Prentice.She said: "Staff were checking CCTV to see if Melissa was there.
