Activision has confirmed details of a new WWE crossover for both Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call Of Duty: Warzone.The season five update goes live next week (July 24) and will introduce a pair of WWE superstars to the game, with both Cody ‘The American Nightmare’ Rhodes and Rey ‘The Ultimate Underdog’ Mysterio as unlockable characters.Leaning into the wrestling theme, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will also get a number of new, grabbling-inspired game modes. 1047 Games has confirmed that beloved first-person-shooter Splitgate will be getting a sequel.Released in 2019, Splitgate was described by fans as Halo meets Portal, with the game going on to rack up over 22million downloads. It’s maintained a dedicated playerbase over the past five years, and still has a “very positive” rating on Steam.“Splitgate is a free-to-play, fast-paced multiplayer shooter that features player-controlled portals.

Fallout confirms the arrival of a fan-favourite character from the games.Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout show borrows heavily from the video game franchise, while telling an original story. Fortnite players have quickly become obsessed with a new, mysterious character known as the Wanderer.The Wanderer first started appearing in Fortnite yesterday (June 25) and has been spotted at several different locations around the Island including the Estate Station, Placid Pumps and Coastal Comms.However, the hooded figure disappears as soon as a player gets too close and only seems to spawn once per match. Not much is known about the Wanderer but he has featured in recent Fortnite lore.

Roblox has confirmed a new collaboration with iconic rock group The Rolling Stones.Following collabs with Lil Nas X, Elton John and Nicki Minaj, the latest Roblox venture sees The Rolling Stones introduced to Beat Galaxy, a virtual world created by Universal Music Group.Users will be able to play an interactive track-runner game featuring Rolling Stones hits, compete for prizes, and obtain exclusive virtual Rolling Stones merchandise during the experience. There will also be a virtual club and social hub.“Bringing our music to the virtual world of Beat Galaxy is an innovative way to connect with our new and existing fans,” said The Rolling Stones in a statement.According to the announcement, The Rolling Stones’ takeover of Beat Galaxy will transform the ever-changing virtual world into an immersive experience that embodies the iconic art, styles, and influences from the band’s illustrious career.

Ubisoft has officially announced the release details of the Beyond Good & Evil remaster, with the game coming next week.Beyond Good & Evil was originally launched in 2003 and now an anniversary edition will be released June 25. The new version of the action adventure game will feature improved graphics and “numerous quality of life improvements including autosave, cutscene-skip, full controller and keyboard & mouse support, and cross-save across all platforms”.The soundtrack has been re-recorded by an orchestra, while Ubisoft will also be introducing a new speed run mode to the game, alongside a number of new achievements to unlock.To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the game, Beyond Good & Evil remaster will also include never-before-seen artworks and videos, exclusive anecdotes, and “secret unreleased content”.A digital version of the game will be available for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo consoles, as well as PC via Steam.

Square Enix has made both Octopath Traveler games available for all consoles, PC and Xbox Game Pass.Previously, Octopath Traveler 1 was only available for Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles, while only Switch and PlayStation users could play the sequel, Octopath Traveler 2.In a surprise update yesterday (June 5) Square Enix announced that Octopath Traveler 2 would be available for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One users immediately, while the original would return to PS4 and PS5. Total War developers Creative Assembly are reportedly working on a new Star Wars game.According to a new report by Dualshockers, Total War: Star Wars has been in development since October 2023. Total War is a series of strategy games that typically combine turn-based strategy and resource management with real-time tactical control of battles, with this new game set to take that to a galaxy far, far away.The report also claims that Creative Assembly are working on two different projects as well, meaning it’s impossible for them to speculate on a release date.At the end of last year, Sega announced that Creative Assembly would be focusing on strategy titles, following the cancellation of Hyenas.Total War: Star Wars isn’t the only strategy game currently in development either.

2K Games has confirmed it is set to reveal a sequel to a “beloved” franchise at Summer Games Fest, which takes place next month.Taking to social media, Summer Games Fest confirmed “2K plans to reveal the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises” at the event, which is due to take place June 7.No other information about the reveal has been shared, but 2K has a number of games that could fit the brief.Earlier this year, 2K confirmed Borderlands 4 was in active development after acquiring Gearbox Studios for £365million. It comes as a big screen take on the franchise is set for release August 9.

FromSoftware is gearing up to launch Elden Ring expansion Shadow Of The Erdtree, but the studio has also hinted that a sequel could be in the works.The Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring was first announced back in February 2023, with the DLC due for release June 21.According to Bandai Namco, it is “FromSoftware’s largest expansion to date, where players must unravel the hidden mystery of the world from the acclaimed fantasy action RPG.” In a new interview with Chinese outlet Campfire Camp, FromSoftware head Hidetaka Miyazaki has confirmed that Shadow Of The Erdtree will be “the first and last” DLC for the game. “We have no plans to add more content to Elden Ring,” he said (via IGN).“Elden Ring emphasises exploration and adventure in a big world. Bethesda has confirmed a number of free updates are coming to Fallout 4 following the successful launch of Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of the franchise.Bethesda originally announced a next-gen update for Fallout 4 back in 2022, with a proposed launch date of 2023. It missed that window, but the studio has now confirmed an April 2024 release.The free update will bring new quest Echoes Of The Past to Fallout 4, with players tasked with stopping The Enclave from “spreading their dangerous ideology and gaining a foothold in the Commonwealth”.
