2K Games has confirmed it is set to reveal a sequel to a “beloved” franchise at Summer Games Fest, which takes place next month.Taking to social media, Summer Games Fest confirmed “2K plans to reveal the next iteration in one of 2K’s biggest and most beloved franchises” at the event, which is due to take place June 7.No other information about the reveal has been shared, but 2K has a number of games that could fit the brief.Earlier this year, 2K confirmed Borderlands 4 was in active development after acquiring Gearbox Studios for £365million.
It comes as a big screen take on the franchise is set for release August 9. Speaking about the new Borderlands game, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said: “Look, we haven’t even announced anything of it [but] clearly, we’re working on something.
