Porridge Radio have announced details of their third album ‘Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder To The Sky’ and shared its first single ‘Back To The Radio’.The band have also confirmed their biggest-ever UK headline tour alongside a series of intimate in-store shows around the record’s release.‘Back To The Radio’ was written by frontperson Dana Margolin ahead of the release of the group’s acclaimed 2020 album ‘Every Bad’, a time when she felt like “a lot of things were coming that I wasn’t sure I knew how to handle”.“The song grew out of a feeling of intense loneliness and being unprepared for what everybody was promising me was about to happen – and a strong desire to escape without knowing what I wanted to escape to,” she said in a press release. “To me, there’s a huge feeling of catharsis in this song, of letting go and letting it sweep you away.”The song comes with a video directed by Margolin’s sister Ella and finds the singer waking up in a room where papier-mâché furniture is slowly being removed one by one. Later, she joins the rest of Porridge Radio in a room decorated with landscape scenery as people dressed all in black move her around the space.

Sea Power are in the running for this week’s Number One with ‘Everything Was Forever’, their eighth studio album.The band – who were formerly known as British Sea Power – currently lead a very close race with their album the most physically purchased of the week so far.

Kaiser Chiefs and Jake Bugg are set to headline At Ease, a brand new festival that will be held in Suffolk this summer.The event takes place between August 26-28 and will be staged in Thetford’s Euston Park. Community Festival has announced its return for 2022 with headliners Two Door Cinema Club alongside The Wombats, Pale Waves and more.After an enforced two year break due to COVID, the indie festival will return to the capital’s Finsbury Park on Saturday, July 16, set over two stages.Two Door Cinema Club, who previously headlined the event in 2018, return for 2022, and commented: “We’re so happy to be headlining Community Festival! It’s been a rough couple of years for live music so we’re very excited to get back to doing what we do best. The lineup is fantastic and we can’t wait to see some of the best established and newest bands.”The Wombats added: “We’re so excited to be heading back to Finsbury Park this July to play Community Festival with such an amazing line up! The Subways frontman Billy Lunn has shared a statement apologising for “shitty decisions” and revealing a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) diagnosis.Taking to Twitter yesterday (February 20), Lunn shared a message to “fully disclose these last few years to you, now that I feel I’m finally on the right track”.He wrote: “You may have seen that I have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, and that I’m now awaiting treatment and medication. This came about following a suicide attempt last summer (2021), after I was confronted with the fact that I was cheating on my wife whilst claiming we were separated.“This wasn’t an isolated incident,” he added.

Liam Gallagher has shared his views on the British Monarchy, sharing his love for the Queen, who he describes as “a little Jedi”.Gallagher was speaking to NME for this week’s Big Read cover feature about his massive forthcoming Knebworth gigs and third studio album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’.During the feature, Gallagher was alerted to a tweet he sent out at the start of 2022, which read: “So I’ve missed out on the NYs honours list AGAIN ffs what more do I have to do to get myself 1 of those SIR things oh well onwards and sideways LG x.”Responding to NME, he said: “There’ll be some fucker there going” – he puts on posh accent – ‘Who does he think he is, scruffy little shit from Manchester thinking the Queen is gonna give him that?’“If I can wind some cunt up [on the] first of January, start as I mean to go on.”Going on to discuss his views on the Monarchy and Queen Elizabeth II, he added: “Unless they delivered it to my fucking door through the letterbox, like the Royal Mail fucking should do… I’m certainly not going there and bending down for no cunt.“Not that I’m anti-Royals – I like the Queen. Yard Act have issued a statement following reports that a woman was harassed in the crowd at one of their gigs this week.The Leeds band played their biggest headline show to date at London’s Village Underground on Thursday (February 17), and wrote on Twitter that they’d been alerted to a young female fan being treated inappropriately by an older man during the show.“To be clear, Yard Act shows are for everyone, and we absolutely need everyone to feel safe at our gigs,” the band wrote. “If you are a fan of our band, that means it’s your responsibility too. Work with us.

It was the first single taken from ‘Jagged Little Pill’, which spent 12 weeks on top of the Billboard 200 in 1995-96.

Frank Turner has scored his first ever UK Number One album with ‘FTHC’, his ninth studio LP.The singer/songwriter’s record claimed the top spot with almost 90 per cent of physical sales, topping the UK Official Record Store Chart and the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.It is his highest ever charting position after his last album, ‘No Man’s Land’ went in at Number Three in 2019 and his 2015 album ‘Positive Songs For Negative People’ peaked at Number Two.“Getting a Number One album is crazy, it’s not a thing I ever thought would happen to me and it’s happened on my ninth album,” Turner told the Official Charts Company.“That feels particularly crazy and awesome, and I’m proud of it. Tame Impala have released the deluxe edition of 2020 album ‘The Slow Rush’, which features previously unreleased B-side ‘The Boat I Row’.Along with ‘No Choice’, which arrived back in December, the song is one of two additional tracks that feature on the expanded version of the album. The Coral have released a remastered version of their 2002 hit ‘Dreaming Of You’ to mark its 20th anniversary this year.The track is also part of the forthcoming reissue of the band’s self-titled 2002 debut album, which is set for release on March 4 via Run On Records in association with Modern Sky.Coral frontman James Skelly said in a press release that ‘Dreaming Of You’ “nearly didn’t make the album” 20 years ago.“It was a song we hadn’t yet recorded during the main studio sessions, but when [producer Ian] Broudie heard it, he said it had to be on there,” Skelly recalled. “We went back into the studio to get down this angular version that fitted the rest of the album.“I’d had the song since meeting [Shack founders] Mick and John Head for the first time, and they said they really liked our stuff.
