Westworld has premiered with a cover of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’ by composer Ramin Djawadi.Djawadi is known for providing instrumental arrangements of classic pop and rock songs for the show and has previously included versions of Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun’, The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ and Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’.The cover of ‘Video Games’, a track which originally came out in 2012, features strings and a piano providing a gentle, haunting rendition of the melody.The new series of Westworld is set seven years after the revolutionary climax of season three. Jack Johnson has announced he’ll be embarking on a run of Australian and New Zealand shows later this year.The tour comes in support of his latest album ‘Meet The Moonlight’, which arrived last Friday (June 24). It’ll see Johnson and his band arrive in Australia in late November, playing shows in Perth, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, before heading to New Zealand’s Auckland and Napier.He’ll be supported by Emily Wurramara and Ziggy Alberts for the Australian dates, with The Black Seeds joining him in New Zealand.Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday July 1 at 10am local time, and will be available to purchase here.A post shared by Jack Johnson (@jackjohnson)It’ll be the first time the singer has visited Australia since 2019’s Byron Bay Bluesfest, and his first New Zealand shows since 2017.‘Meet The Moonlight’ marks Johnson’s eighth studio album and his first LP release in five years.

Jack White has been confirmed for a secret set at Glastonbury 2022 today (Sunday June 26).The likes of Arcade Fire and Green Day were among the rumours for the much anticipated ‘TBC’ slot on The Park Stage at 6pm today, but now White has been announced for the performance in today’s edition of the Glastonbury Free Press – a newspaper handed out on site.“Exciting opportunity in the field of audience science,” the notice read. “Musician Jack White is seeking 10,000 lively and loud individuals to participate in a top secret experiment of musical concertry.

Beabadoobee has told NME about her upcoming second album ‘Beatopia’ during a backstage interview at Glastonbury 2022.The returning Dirty Hit-signed artist made her debut appearance at the Worthy Farm festival earlier today (June 25), playing on the John Peel Stage.“It was much more of a physical thing when I was seven,” she explained of the “dream world” behind ‘Beatopia’, which she invented in 2007. “I thought I could literally be in this world – I think it was just a way of escaping everything that was happening in life at that time, and then I forgot about it because shit happened.

Two Door Cinema Club have released the music video for the single ‘Wonderful Life’ from their upcoming fifth studio album ‘Keep On Smiling’.The exuberant music video was released on June 24, featuring visuals inspired by Andy Warhol and British artist Alan Fears that match the energy of the trio’s new track. Portishead and skating brand Stüssy have announced a new merchandise collaboration.The clothing brand announced its upcoming collaboration with the Bristol band via social media on Wednesday (June 22) with a video comprised of stylised footage of Portishead performing live.The collaboration will come in the form of a blue t-shirt that features the cover of Portishead’s 1994 album, ‘Dummy’. Wilco have shared a previously unreleased, alternate version of their 2002 ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’ cut ‘Kamera’, lifted from forthcoming deluxe editions of the album that are set to arrive in September.‘Kamera (The Unified Theory of Everything Version)’ is a significantly heavier take on the track, swapping out the primarily acoustic version that ended up on the album for electric guitars and propulsive drums.The new version will feature on both the super deluxe LP and CD reissues, as well as the deluxe LP and digital sets. All will be available September 16 via Nonesuch Records.

Santigold has announced a series of North American tour dates for October and November 2022, dubbed the ‘Holified’ tour.The tour, announced last night (June 22), marks the singer-songwriter’s first tour of the continent in over three years. First Aid Kit have returned with their first new music in three years in the form of new single, ‘Angel’ – listen to it below.The last original track the Swedish duo – comprising Johanna and Klara Söderberg – put out was 2019’s ‘Strange Beauty’, a tribute to the late David Berman. Their last studio album was ‘Ruins’ in 2018.‘Angel’, which showcases the Söderberg sisters’s signature harmonies, was written in the wake of major global events the past couple years.“It feels special to release a song after such a long hiatus,” the duo said in a statement.

Yard Act are set to release a new studio version of their track ‘100% Endurance’ featuring Elton John.The reworked track is slated to release on July 1, and will feature vocals and new instrumental arrangements from John, per a press release.Yard Act first released the original cut of ‘100% Endurance’ in January as part of their debut album ‘The Overload’. The track served as the album’s closer.In a press statement, Yard Act’s James Smith revealed how the collaboration came to be: “Elton John saw our stuff and he started telling the press he thought we were good and then we chatted on the phone and after a few calls I said ‘Elton, do you want to come to the studio and play piano on a tune?’ because, fuck it, it doesn’t matter if he says no.
