Titus Andronicus have made their return with a cover of Cock Sparrer’s ‘We’re Coming Back’ – listen to it below.The New Jersey indie rockers have been quiet for the past three years. Their last release was sixth studio album ‘An Obelisk’, released in June 2019 via Merge Records.Using Cock Sparrer’s 1982 anthem to announce their return, frontman Patrick Stickles said of their decision to cover the track: “All I can tell you right now is that Cock Sparrer gave us the most open-hearted and uplifting song in all of British punk’s second wave, perhaps even of any wave, foreign or domestic.“I have wept to this song many times over the years, and it is a joy to share our version with the world, especially since it afforded me the opportunity to work once again with the inimitable Ray Concepcion.”The band’s cover comes alongside a thrill ride music video directed by multidisciplinary filmmaker Ray Concepcion.

Razorlight have today (June 17) returned with a punky new single, ‘Call Me Junior’ – check it out below.Released via Atlantic Culture Records/Absolute, the new track sees the return of the original line up of the band – made up of Johnny Borrell, Andy Burrows, Björn Ågren, and Carl Dalemo – following a 10-year hiatus.Borrell, Ågren and Dalemo first formed the band in 2002, with Burrows joining in 2004. Together, the quartet released three studio albums (2004 debut ‘Up All Night’, 2006’s self-titled follow-up and 2008’s ‘Slipway Fires’).Produced by Borrell, the new single was recorded straight to tape and was written amidst the pandemic restrictions.

Jack Johnson has dubbed his new collaborator Blake Mills “one of the greatest guitar players alive right now”.The US singer-songwriter is gearing up to release his eighth studio album, ‘Meet The Moonlight’, which is released June 24 via Brushfire/Republic Records. During a recent interview he talked about working on the record with producer Blake Mills.“I really, really can’t say enough about the guy, Blake,” Johnson told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1.

Marlon Williams has shared details of his third studio album, ‘My Boy’, as well as its second single.The album, announced today (June 15), serves as the official follow-up to 2018’s ‘Make Way For Love’. The announcement was pre-empted on May 3 by the release of what has now been revealed as the album’s title track, which came out last month.

Foals have shared new single ‘Crest Of The Wave’ ahead of the release of their new album, ‘Life Is Yours’.The track, which you can listen to below, is the fifth to be shared from the band’s seventh album, which will be released this Friday (June 17).“A portion of ‘Crest Of The Wave’ existed in 2011, and we had demoed it in Australia and just left it for years,” the band said in a statement.“But it was one of those songs which had always been at the back of our minds, like there was some unfinished business there. As we were playing around with it with some of the themes on this record, we cracked it open and really revelled in adding lots of layers to it in the studio.

Car Seat Headrest’s Will Toledo has opened up about performing in a new suit as his furry alter-ego Mortis Jackrabbit earlier this year.In March, the frontman performed in a new fur suit for the first time at New York’s Brooklyn Steel, because he “wanted more furries in the crowd”.Furries are a community of people who enjoy wearing elaborate animal costumes. They enjoy making friends with other furries, attending conventions, making art and sometimes sex is part of the equation, but not always.Speaking in a new interview with Brooklyn Magazine, Toledo spoke about his decision to don the suit on the band’s Masquerade Tour and opened up about his love for the furry community.“It was very impromptu,” he said of his Brooklyn Steel performance.

Beabadoobee has shared another new single from her forthcoming album ‘Beatopia’.The track, which you can listen to below, is the the fourth taster to be lifted from her second album following ‘Lovesong’, ‘See You Soon’ and ‘Talk‘.According to a press release, the single “unpacks Bea’s personal relationships with the people in her life, and how she depends on human contact to get to sleep” as she sings: “You’re just a warm body to hold/ At night when I’m feeling all alone”.“’10:36′ was written after [2020 debut album] ‘Fake It Flowers’ and just before [2021 EP] ‘Our Extended Play’, and I had envisioned it to be on that EP, but I was just sitting on that riff for ages and then I properly made a demo during lockdown. It was called ’10:36′ because that was the time I finished writing it,” she explained.

Yard Act have been named in a new study as this summer’s most-booked new music act on the European festival circuit.The annual study, which is conducted by the European talent exchange programme ESNS Exchange, sheds a light on “the most promising European emerging acts of the moment”.Yard Act have come out on top of this year’s study, racking up 11 bookings at ESNS Exchange-affiliated festivals in 2022.The four-piece are three ahead of Ukrainian rapper Alyona Alyona, Priya Ragu and Wet Leg, who have eight European festival bookings each.

The 1975 have further teased the arrival of new material next month, hinting at something called ‘Part Of The Band’.Last month, mysterious posters appeared in London featuring a black-and-white photo from a distance featuring frontman Matty Healy, and a date of July 7. LCD Soundsystem have added another date to their 2022 tour, headlining Miami’s III Points Festival alongside Flume and Rosalía.James Murphy and co. made their comeback last year with a multi-night residency at Brooklyn Steel in New York, playing 17 shows of a planned 20-show run before the run ended prematurely due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.They held smaller residencies at the Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia and Roadrunner in Boston this year, and later this month, they will head to the UK for six shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.On the weekend of October 21-22, they will headline III Points at the Mana Wynwood venue, with James Blake, Orbital, Kenny Beats, A.G.

Phoebe Bridgers has paid tribute to Bruce Springsteen while performing in his home state of New Jersey by covering his 1980 song ‘Stolen Car’.Bridgers performed the cover during her show at the Summer Stage, an outdoor extension of Asbury Park venue The Stone Pony, on Monday night (June 13). Julia Jacklin has shared a new single titled ‘I Was Neon’, the second to be lifted from the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album ‘Pre Pleasure’.In a statement, Jacklin explained that the new song was originally written for a short-lived side project, Rattlesnake, that she played drums for in 2019.“I rewrote it for my album in Montreal, during a time when I was desperately longing for a version of myself that I feared was gone forever,” she continued. “I was thinking of this song when I made the album cover, this song is the album cover really.”‘I Was Neon’ arrives alongside a video directed by Jacklin herself and shot in Melbourne.

Interpol have cancelled their gig tonight (June 14) at London’s Roundhouse, citing illness as the reason behind the last-minute postponement.The band were due to perform at the venue for two nights, including a gig tomorrow night, but posted on Instagram this evening to announce the change of plans.“Due to illness, we sadly have to cancel tonight’s show,” they wrote. “It is our intention that tomorrow’s show will go ahead.
