Horrendous Boeing 737 tragedies from plane 'shredded mid-air' to jet shot down from sky
China have been searching in vain for survivors after a Boeing 737-800 plunged to the ground, with all 132 people on board feared dead. Investigators are still trying to work out what caused the plane crash, which saw China Eastern flight MU5735 plummet from the sky yesterday (Monday, March 21).Aviation experts say that Boeing 737-800s have good safety records, with thousands of the aircraft in operation around the world.But there have been some other disasters involving the make of plane over the years - some involving pilot error and others being down to outside factors.In September 2006, an internal flight in Brazil claimed the lives of all 154 passengers and crew after a Boeing was involved in a mid-air collision with a business jet, reports The Sun.It saw half of the airliner’s left wing sliced off, and the plane was ripped in two, landing in the jungle.The other jet – an Embraer Legacy 600 – managed to land with all seven people on board unharmed.Brazilian authorities ruled the accident was caused by air traffic control errors and mistakes by the Legacy pilot, but US authorities found that neither of the US pilots was at fault.In May 2007, the Boeing Kenya Airways Flight 507 crashed two minutes after taking off from an airport in Cameroon on the second leg of its trip to Nairobi, on a day when the pilots of several other planes had refused to fly because of the conditions.Shortly after taking off, the jet plunged into a mangrove swamp.

US bombers train over England under FEAR call sign as tensions rise with Russia
Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues.Two of U.S. Air Force B-52H Boeing Stratofortress bombers departed from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire on Wednesday, (March 9) NorthantsLive reports.The Royal Air Force station is the home of the US bombers which have flown over locations including Sweden over the past week.The US Air Force has confirmed the planes were involved in an exercise over the UK.Corporal Lee Matthews said: "The aircraft lifted under ‘FEAR’ call signs, heading over Wales and the South West coast of England."The B-52H Stratofortress is a heavy bomber capable of a variety of missions.It can fly at high subsonic speeds at altitudes of up to 50,000 feet and can carry nuclear or precision-guided conventional ordnance.Four of the jet-powered warplanes are currently stationed at the Gloucestershire RAF station, part of the Bomber Task Force Europe.On Tuesday one of the aircraft conducted a series of integration flights, connecting with the European nations of Romania, Greece, and Italy.The B-52 aircraft took off from RAF Fairford and flew over central Europe to meet up with Romanian Joint Terminal Attack Controllers.Before returning to base the B-52 integrated with Italian and Greek aircraft.The United States Air Force said: "Given the inherent speed, flexibility, and range of strategic bombers, Bomber Task Force missions highlight U.S.
