Singer R. Kelly seeks appeals court relief from 30-year prison term

a 30-year prison sentence in June 2022.Assistant US Attorney Kayla Bensing said Kelly’s network of aides and employees were part of the singer’s “system in place that lured young people in to his orbit” before he “took over their lives.”At trial, several women testified that they were ordered to sign nondisclosure forms and were subjected to threats and punishments such as violent spankings if they broke what one referred to as “Rob’s rules.”Some of the judges questioned whether the employees knew about Kelly’s illegal activities with teenage girls.“What evidence is there that staff who arranged these things knew that they were underage? asked Circuit Judge Denny Chin. The prosecutor responded by citing numerous instances of testimony, including one in which a woman testified that she told a member of Kelly’s entourage that she was 16 when he asked her age. Others knew some girls were not yet 18 because they booked flights for them and the girls had to provide their birth dates, she noted.“So this is all evidence that the jury was entitled to infer that Kelly’s inner circle knew what was going on.

Holly Willoughby appeals to Dyson after puppy Bailey destroys her vacuum cleaner
Holly Willoughby was left unimpressed as she offered her fans an update on her Dyson vacuum - which her puppy Bailey completely destroyed.Taking to Instagram, the This Morning host shared a hilarious snap of her dog looking innocent as anything while spread out on the kitchen linoleum. But scattered beside Bailey were a range of lilac plastic vacuum parts - along with a dog brush. An irate Holly wrote alongside the snap: "Dyson update… my dog ate my hoover…" with a frazzled-looking emoji.Thankfully she had her fans on hand to amuse her in the comments section - though rather than sympathising with the star, they found her situation hilarious. One posted: "That sucks… well, it used to!""OMG, a good way to get out of hoovering!" someone else suggested. As a third social media user penned: "Yet a face that says ‘wasn’t me’!""Look at her gorgeous face. You can’t be mad at her!" another fan said.Holly also shared a snap to her Instagram Stories about her glamorous day vacuuming - showing a series of vacuum parts spread out on a towel, ready to be cleaned and put together. But it appears that gave Bailey ample opportunity to gobble up one of the pieces. She captioned the snap: "High glamour Saturday…", tagging Dyson in the post and adding a spray bottle sticker.Holly first welcomed her adorable golden retriever into the family fold last year, and it appears she has settled in quickly alongside Holly and her hubby Dan Baldwin and their children Belle, Harry and Chester. But Holly told talk show host Jonathan Ross of a horror incident involving her pup while appearing on his programme, telling the audience: "Before I saw her, I could smell her.

Kesha loses round in New York appeals court against Dr Luke
Kesha could have her legal fees pay by Dr Luke should his defamation claim against her fail. The decision, which was issued by the court on Thursday (March 10), said that a new law introduced in 2020 to help clients pay court fees could not be applied retrospectively. It means that even if Kesha should win her long-running case against Dr Luke, the musician cannot make Dr Luke pay her legal fees. The court ruled that  “there is insufficient evidence supporting the conclusion that the legislature intended its 2020 amendments to the anti-strategic lawsuit against public participation (anti-SLAPP) law… to apply retroactively to pending claims such as the defamation claims asserted by plaintiffs in this action.”In a statement to Rolling Stone, Kesha’s lawyers said: “Today’s opinion is manifestly erroneous and contrary to the conclusion reached by approximately 20 other courts. We will promptly seek Court of Appeals review.”A post shared by Kesha (@iiswhoiis)In a cryptic Instagram post later on, Kesha added: “When you’re not allowed to say anything and there are no words anyways.”The ruling marks the latest development in the pairs lengthy ongoing legal feud, which began when Kesha initially sued the producer, real name Lukasz Gottwald, in 2014 and claimed he had sexually assaulted and emotionally abused her.Dr.
