Leeds United supporters have been left embarrassed after their club produced a “cringey” show of support for star player Stuart Dallas.Dallas is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury in a challenge with Manchester City’s Jack Grealish last weekend.
The Northern Irish international was carried off on a stretcher following a hefty collision in the 4-0 defeat on April 30.Dallas was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment and later down to London to undergo surgery after it was determined he had sustained a femoral fracture. “It is impossible to put into words just how important Stuart is to Leeds United on and off the field,” the club said in a statement.Leeds have now tried to sum up how important the 31-year-old is by producing T-shirts with a picture of him and the phrase “there’s only one Stuart Dallas” on.
The T-shirts have been put on every seat in the away section at the Emirates Stadium for Sunday’s 2pm kick-off against Arsenal.
The move does not appear to have gone down well with Leeds supporters, however, with many feeling as though it is over the top. “I'm a massive fan of Stuey but this is just too much.
