A supermarket chain has become the first to price match both Aldi and Lidl across hundreds of everyday products. Asda announced that it is price matching the budget supermarkets on 287 comparable grocery products, reducing its prices by an average of 17%.
Staple household items including milk, bread and cheese are among those being discounted. Asda's mini chicken breast fillets (650g) are being reduced by £1.08, from £5.40 to £4.32 under the new offer.
