A woman was left stunned when she spotted a 50-year-old crisp packet on the beach as she walked along with her dog. Tracey Radnall found the plastic Golden Wonder ready salted crisps bag on Tyninghame Beach near Dunbar, East Lothian.
She was walking her eight-year-old Cocker Spaniel Bertie on the afternoon of Thursday, November 19 when she spotted the dated packaging lying on the sand near some rocks.
The printing on the packet was quite weathered but 60-year-old Tracey, from Stenton, East Lothian, could make out ‘Golden Wonder Crisps’ on the front and she was shocked when she saw the 6D (sixpence) price.
