Stretford and Urmston MP 'let down' by government’s education recovery plan

The £1.4 bn recovery fund, announced by Education secretary Gavin Williamson on Wednesday (June 2), promises to provide additional tuition and teacher training to help schools get back on track following the pandemic. £1bn of the funding will go towards six million 15-hour tutoring courses for disadvantaged pupils as well as extend the 16-19 tuition fund which focuses on subjects such as maths and English.
