Cops have launched an urgent probe after a man impersonating a police officer stole a "significant" amount of cash from a Scots home.
Around 9pm last night, a 53-year-old man was within his home in Dunlop, East Ayrshire, when a man came to his door, pushed his way inside the property and told him he was a police officer.
Whilst the man was distracted, a second suspect was able to enter the property and make off with items from the house, including a large sum of cash.
The first male suspect was wearing scruffy clothing and carrying what looked like a radio or walkie talkie.The second suspect is described as being male and around 5ft 5” in height.
