A street in a new Callander housing development is to be named in honour of the longest-serving post office worker in the UK who lived in the town.The Observer last month told how Hamish Menzies passed away at home, aged 86.Residents paid their respects, taking to the streets and doorsteps and applauding as the funeral procession passed.In a touching gesture, Callander Community Council requested that a street in the ongoing Claish Farm project be named in his honour.The community council this week confirmed that it has received approval from Stirling Council to have one of the new streets named Hamish Menzies Drive.Mr Menzies is survived by wife Marion, son Calum and daughter-in-law Mairi as well as grandchildren Lachie and Morvyn.A
