A 'sanctuary room' for staff is being installed at Stepping Hill Hospital during the coronavirus outbreak. The new 'calming, quiet space' has been allocated for hospital workers in need of a breather.

Bosses at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust are on the hunt for chairs to furnish the sanctuary. A post on the trust's Facebook page said: "We’re making a ‘Sanctuary Room’ for our staff - a calming private space for them to reflect in these tough and challenging times. "So we're making an appeal to both national and local businesses - we need comfortable good quality (not second hand) leather / leather look, easy-wipe-down chairs on which staff can relax in this new soothing environment.
