We’re always hoping for a white Christmas - but it looks like a white Halloween could well be on the cards this year. According to the Met Office, a ‘colder settled period’ is set to establish itself in early November, sparking hopes of snow.
The long-range forecast predicts unsettled conditions across the UK from mid October, which will then turn into a much colder period.
Previously forecasters have reported that snow falling in early November would be ‘completely normal’ for this time of year.
