Gravity hurts."Despite the harm gravity has caused many of those travelling down the slide, a statement from Belle Isle supervisor for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Joel Thomas, hopes that the slide will be back up and running after some slight changes.Thomas added: "Hopefully, after our small adjustment we will be back up and running and the slide will be slower for more enjoyment."For this evening, we're giving it a little scrub down, and we will be back open at 11 tomorrow." Users on social media were split on the slide, with some aghast at the horrors of gravity, while others believed the slide marked a good chance for "character building," LADBible reported.

The ride has since reopened, reportedly without any issues of children being launched into the sky. For the latest breaking news stories and incredible tales from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here . READ NEXT:.
