Last week, a pub announced that it would be banning dogs indoors after a biting incident with a member of staff. The public house in Oldham posted on social media that while assistance dogs would still be allowed in, they would no longer be allowing other dogs inside following a member of their team being bitten by one.

Following this incident, we want to know if you agree with their decision or if you think dogs should always be allowed in pubs. Let us know your thoughts in our comments section. Some readers have already responded, with one in agreement saying: "I have a dog and I love her to bits but I would never take her to a pub or anywhere where they serve food, it's just not hygienic. "I love my dog but also understand that not everyone else does and food places shouldn't allow them IMO (apart from service dogs of course)." Another reader agreed, commenting: "Good!

I’m allergic to dog hair and dread seeing them in pubs and restaurants. Also, I don’t think it’s hygienic to have them in these places." However, some were happy still seeing dogs in pubs, with one person responding: "Should have banned the owner and not the dog.

What if there is a pub fight will they ban people? All dogs on leads in and outside the pub well behaved." Others also felt similarly, with one also replying: "Having been in the industry for a few years I can say without any doubt that dogs are better behaved them more humans. "Dogs over humans any day." Do you think more pubs should ban dogs inside?
