Dog owners have been warned that certain types of food can be extremely dangerous when given to their pets. Experts at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home have listed nine common foods that are harmful for dogs, so we should avoid feeding them these at all costs.

A spokesperson for Battersea said: "If consumed, even small amounts of these items can be fatal so always act immediately and take your dog to the vets."
