The coronavirus tragedy has left tens of thousands of UK families mourning the loss of loved ones, with the country now recording the highest number of deaths in Europe.
While the government says that figures from other nations are not directly comparable, it will nonetheless face questions for years to come about the spiralling death toll.
Today Dominic Raab said 30,615 people have died after contracting the killer virus. But the real number of deaths is likely to be far higher, with figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) each week showing more fatalities than those announced on a daily basis.
