Eager commuters wasted no time in getting back to the grind this morning, taking to the road and packing onto the Tube in London just hours after Boris Johnson told the country to get back to work.
In a highly anticipated address to the nation on Sunday, the Prime Minister directed those who could go back to work, partially ended the coronavirus lockdown.
The announcement sparked chaos this morning, as Dominic Raab said businesses should only ask their employees to do so from Wednesday.
Several thousands workers took no notice of Raab and to jumped in their car, forming long, familiar, commuter cues. The M25 near Kent, the M4 near Bristol and the A192 near Greenwich, London were packed, just had they been before lockdown.
