Rutherglen Glencairn will eventually be able to climb through the Scottish football pyramid structure and compete in the Scottish Cup, after being given initial approval by the SFA in their bid for an Entry Level Club Licence.The West of Scotland League Premier Division club's management committee asked at last month's AGM to be given approval to formerly apply for membership of the Scottish Football Association and obtain an Entry Level Club Licence.
Their application was submitted on October 22 and initial approval was granted during a Scottish FA board meeting four days later.Their application will now be forwarded to the Scottish FA's Club Licensing Department to progress, and they will inform the club of the next stage thereafter.Ruthe
