Ayrshire rail services again this weekend. ScotRail services running from Ayr to Glasgow and Glasgow to Largs will be impacted as a result of industrial action by the Railway Maritime and Transport workers' union (RMT).
There will be no services at all between Kilmarnock and Glasgow this Sunday, May 16. Transport bosses are braced for another Sunday of limited services after a fortnight of action.
It comes as people head out to beer gardens and non-essential shops now lockdown restrictions have eased. Customers have been advised to plan ahead before travelling.The union is going on strike in a “long-running fight for equality and justice over enhanced payments for rest day working”, with ScotRail workers looking to force a 50 per cent.
