Larkhall on May 22, 2020. The 23-year-old dad-of-two passed away from his injuries after being rushed to Wishaw General Hospital.

His heartbroken loved ones have planned a balloon release to mark one year since his death as many posted on William's Facebook page to pay tribute to him.

One wrote: "A year since you were taken, it’s been the hardest year ever, miss you so much , and love you so much, my funny caring crazy nephew who had the heart of gold, my heart is so broken thinking of you every day and night.

Fly high William Wardrop You will never be forgotten."Another added: "A year since you passed bro think about u all the time hope you’re up there with the boys resting easy.
