A Scots presenter has tragically died while waiting for a transplant after being diagnosed with a lung disease. Helen Ward, also known as Helsbells, was a much-loved presenter on Sunny Govan radio before she was forced to step down due to her health issues.
The 64-year-old had been diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis - a condition that causes the lungs to become scarred and breathing to become difficult, reports Glasgow Live.
The presenter had been awaiting a double-lung transplant to prolong her life when she passed away on Friday, December 17, after suffering multiple organ failure.
