pensioner has been convicted of battering his neighbour during a feud over the victim's dog. Archibald Elliott lashed out at George Liddell after they rowed about Liddell's pet making too much noise.
Elliott, 68, flipped and attacked Mr Liddell, 62, outside their homes in Paisley, Renfrewshire. Paisley Sheriff Court heard he shouted and swore at Mr Liddell and then went on the attack, leaving him bruised and injured.
The court also heard Mrs Elliott had been struggling to concentrate while working from home during the Covid-19 lockdown because Mr Liddell's dog barked so much during the day.
He punched him on the head, grabbed him by the neck and pulled him by his clothes, causing him to fall to the ground.And, once on the floor, he stamped.
