The third St Mirren star on the Paisley Daily Express player of the year shortlist is Ryan Flynn.The versatile midfielder joins keeper Vaclav Hladky and striker Jon Obika in the running for the gong, with one more player still to be added before the voting goes live tomorrow morning.

Despite his campaign being ended early by a cruciate ligament injury picked up against Hamilton, the former Sheffield United man makes the cut after a host of impressive performances in numerous positions.

The 31-year-old was one of the first names on the teamsheet and he still managed to turn out 27 times for the Buddies, picking up several man of the match awards after composed and creative displays.
