Ryan Brierley is going from playmaker to deal breaker after securing Manchester City starlet Jess Park as the first client for his new football management business.

The Hull KR half-back has made no secret of his admiration for Super League legend Danny McGuire during his playing career - now he is following in the footsteps of Jerry Maguire.

Brierley and ex-Toronto team-mate Cory Paterson have formed The Players’ Player management company after both completed their FA licences.

Like Tom Cruise’s Hollywood character, the pair are keen to adopt a 'people before profit' approach to the business. They formed links with City’s Women’s team after Steph Houghton, Jill Scott and Georgia Stanway were regulars in the coffee shop that Paterson
