A suspect who was arrested after a man was reportedly stabbed with 'scissors' has been released under investigation. An area of woodland in Bury became a crime scene on Saturday (12 February) after a man in his 50s appeared at an off-licence covered in blood at around 11am.

Greater Manchester Police later confirmed a man had been assaulted and was taken to hospital, with non-serious injuries. A man was subsequently arrested following the incident.
Police said on Tuesday (15 February) that he has since been released under investigation. The shop worker told the Manchester Evening News : "He said someone had stabbed him with scissors." "He asked me to get him a taxi but I called him an ambulance.
