An RSPCA worker died after being "off colour for a couple of days" shortly after celebrating her 26th birthday. Jayne Lowry's devastated family said she went into cardiac arrest on Saturday night and died on Sunday - four days after she turned 26, reports the Daily Mail.
Mum Jackie Lowry said: "The paramedics fought very hard to save her. We will be forever grateful for their efforts. "Why this devastating thing happened we will only have to wait and see.
She will be forever in our hearts and sorely missed." Miss Lowry, from Preston, Lancashire, had been an animal care assistant at the RSPCA in Preston since July 2016.
