Roland Garros confirm new dates as French Grand Slam will be held over three weeks

tennis tournament has been officially rescheduled to take place over three weeks after it was initially postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It was suspended from May until September and has now been pushed back by a further week.The main draw will be played from September 27 to October 11, with qualifying due to take place between September 21 and 25.In a statement, Roland Garros said: "Following discussions with the international tennis authorities – the ATP, WTA and ITF – the French Tennis Federation is delighted to announce that this year’s Roland-Garros tournament will be played over three weeks, from 21st September to 11th October 2020, providing the conditions relating to the COVID-19 health crisis allow it to go.
