Manchester City's away trip to RB Leipzig in the Champions League will be played behind closed doors, the Premier League club have confirmed.

City are due to fly to Leipzig on December 6, with both teams' final Champions League group game taking place the following day.

Covid cases are surging in Germany, with Friday's 57,302 infections a new record to cement fears of an aggressive fourth wave.

Michael Kretschmer, the state premier of Saxony, where Leipzig are based, is expected to implement a partial lockdown in a bid to curb the spread of cases.
