Manchester City now know five of the six sides they can face in the Champions League last-16 stage, with one more to be decided on Thursday.
City won their Champions League group with a game to spare ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, who they cannot face in the first knockout round.
They cannot also face any English side, so may have been pleased to see Zenit St Petersburg equalise late against Chelsea on Wednesday, bumping them down to second place in their group behind Juventus.
Had Juve finished second, they would have been a possible opponent for City, but instead go through as group winners themselves.
