This was on top of his separate stake of £41,000 that he would collect with a win in round four.However, his renowned curse struck as Edwards landed the killer blow with the brutal kick in the last round.
This was not the only misfortune for the rapper, as he had also backed Brazilian UFC legend Jose Aldo to defeat Merab Dvaslishvili.Aldo was defeated via unanimous decision and Drake had lost another £194,000 after another poor choice in bet.
It adds to the aura that Drake curses fighters and sportspeople with the public display of support or betting slips.Back in March, Drake placed a £232,000 bet on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington but the latter crushed his better rival.
