Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee shows she's not ready to give up the crown just yet, according to a former royal butler.Buckingham Palace released an official portrait of the Queen, 95, as she became the first member of the British monarchy to reign for 70 years.The image shows Her Majesty wearing a lime green dress, complete with her signature brooch, as she sits in front of her famous red box holding important government documents.Former royal butler Grant Harrold, known as The Royal Butler, highlighted the significance of her being pictured with the box as a sign that Her Majesty has no plans of stepping down.Speaking in a video on TikTok, Mr Harrold said: “Most importantly...people keep asking me do I think the Queen is going to continue with her work?
