Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Piers Morgan has expressed his concern for the Queen after Prince Charles tested positive for Covid just days after seeing her. It was confirmed on Thursday that Prince Charles, 73, has contracted the virus for a second time after recently meeting with his mother, the monarch.
A Palace source said that Elizabeth II, 95, is not displaying any symptoms of illness but did not disclose whether she has also tested positive.
Reacting to the news, Piers, 56, tweeted: ‘Prince Charles testing positive for covid just 2 days after seeing the Queen is filling me with deep unease.’ According to the Palace insider, the situation will continue to be monitored, but that a running commentary would not be provided on the monarch’s health.
It is not known when exactly Prince Charles met with the Queen.However, he held an investiture on Tuesday at Windsor Castle, where she is currently staying.
